Who Qualifies for the Program?

The program is open to any company who factors their accounts receivable through The Transportation Software Company.

How Does the Program Work?

Once you have signed up for one of our factoring programs, The Transportation Software Company will provide you with free trucking software for your business. The cost of the software is based on a 24 month TSC Rent to Own Purchase Plan offered by The Transportation Software Company. Once you have started factoring, the TSC Rewards Program kicks in and you will receive a discount of 10% for every $1,000 per truck per month that you factor to a maximum of 100%. In order to compensate for fluctuations in volume, the discount will be adjusted quarterly.

Example: A carrier with 7 trucks would qualify for Dispatch-Mate software with a monthly payment of $200. If the average amount that the carrier factors is $7,000 per month per truck (or $49,000 per month total), the discount would be 70%. This would reduce the monthly TSC Rent to Own Purchase Plan payment to $60.00. If that same carrier factors $10,000/truck/month, the total discount would be 100% (FREE!).

What is included in my software package?

Each customer who qualifies for free trucking software will receive the full carrier version of Dispatch-Mate. This version can be networked or it can run on a standalone basis.

The carrier version contains all of the tools that you need to run your business. The program allows you to manage your trucks and drivers, create documents such as confirmations and invoices and much, much more. It also includes interfaces all standard mileage programs (ProMiles, PC Miler, Map Point, etc.) and three freight matching boards as well as our seamless one-step integration to over 20 popular accounting packages including Simply Accounting and all versions of QuickBooks (up to QuickBooks 2008).

What is NOT included in my software package?

Although your Dispatch-Mate software program will include all of the tools that you need to run your business, there are some interfaces, third party software programs and custom programming elements that are not included. These interfaces and third party programs can be added at any time for a nominal charge and can also be financed (OAC) through our TSC Rent-to-Purchase program. Some examples of integrations that may be purchased would be wireless driver communications, document imaging and customer web interface as well as our new IFTA and Logbook Software that runs seamlessly within the Dispatch-Mate program.

Your Dispatch-Mate program also includes our Gold Support Plan for the first 12 months. At the end of the first year, you can choose from the following three plans:

  1. Gold Support Plan – Includes all upgrades and unlimited telephone technical support. The cost is 18% (annually) of the retail price of your software.
  2. Silver Support Plan – Includes upgrades only at a cost of 12% (annually) of the retail price of your software.
  3. A la Carte – No upgrades and you can pay for technical support as needed.

What is the Catch?

The only catch is that in the event that you stop factoring through The Transportation Software Company, the balance of the rental becomes due and payable and there will be no further discounts under the TSC Rewards Program. Depending upon your circumstances, you will have 2 options:

  1. You may continue to make the remaining monthly payments directly to The Transportation Software Company. This option is available OAC (on approved credit) and may or may not require further guarantees depending on the circumstances.
  2. The remaining balance can be paid either directly to The Transportation Software Company or it can be deducted from your final funding from the factoring company.

Regardless of which option you chose, you will own the software once all of the payments have been satisfied.

What is factoring?

In recent years, factoring has played an ever-increasing role in the transportation industry, often replacing traditional financing methods such as bank loans and lines of credit. Factoring is the business of purchasing and collecting accounts receivable or of advancing cash on the basis of accounts receivable.

Example: Sam owns a trucking company that hauls freight loads for several large shippers and freight brokers. Sam often experiences cash flow problems due to the fact that his customers do not pay him for up to 60 days (or more). In order to increase the supply of cash to his business, Sam turns to a factor who “purchases” a large portion of Sam’s outstanding accounts receivable, providing immediate cash to Sam’s business. The factor then provides Sam with a cheque for the full amount of the receivables, less a small reserve. When Sam’s customers pay their outstanding freight bills, the factor refunds the reserve to Sam, less their discount (interest) fee.

What if I don’t want to factor?
